Supporters Meal 2024

The Gap News Team

24 May 2024

Nearly £500 raised for The Gap

The Supporters Meal held on 17th May 2024 provided a unique opportunity for The Gap community to come together - from its steadfast supporters and dedicated volunteers to the hardworking staff and committed trustees. It was a time for everyone to connect over a shared meal, listen to music and songs performed by some of the talented young individuals who currently use our services, and see informal presentations highlighting the work that the charity has been doing within the Sutton Coldfield area.

Moreover, the heartfelt testimony shared by one of our former Venue regulars, Chelsea, resonated deeply with all attendees. Chelsea's personal account shed light on how The Gap played a pivotal role in shaping her adolescent years, molding her into the resilient individual she is today. Her story serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of community support and the invaluable impact of charitable initiatives like The Gap. Truely humbling to listen to.

The event was not only a celebration of unity and shared purpose but also a successful fundraising endeavor, with just under £500 being raised on that memorable evening. This financial contribution will bolster The Gap's ongoing efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of young individuals, furthering its mission and commitment to engaging with and investing in our young people within our local community.
