Venue Update

Some of you may be aware that at the end of July the city council prevented access to The Venue, Trinity Hill, Sutton Coldfield due to Health & Safety concerns about the wall at the side of the top car park, which leads to the entrance to The Venue. So our main drop-in centre for teenagers was forced to close.

This has caused considerable inconvenience. We had a series of Summer Workshops planned for August including basketball, podcast recording and song writing. These all had to be cancelled, although we hope to be able to run some of these over the October half term holiday instead. Fortunately the summer was upon us, and we were able to extend the Gap in the Park initiative through August, meeting just inside Town Gate.

As of mid September we are optimistic about being able to re-open The Venue soon, but there isn't a definite date. We will post updates on our Facebook and Instagram accounts when we know more information. We apologise for the inconvenience but this is outside of our control. In the meantime it is a new term for schools, and our HeadSpace project which provides one-to-one mentoring in secondary schools has restarted and supporting a new group of young people.
